FUNDING

Sources of funds of Diversity Block Entertainment Inc. are and maybe derived from

• Application Fees

• Shares

• Sowing and deposit from members

• Deposit and loans from non-members

• Returns on the business and investment of the association

• Borrowing from co-operative, commercial and public sector financing agencies

• Grants from the Government and its agencies

• Donations

• Sales of D'block accessories

• Miscellaneous sources provided by general meeting and Partners, Sponsors and Patrons. 

We have not done much per say because the projects we are and will involve in requires a lot of money and commitment. We have to send volunteer members to HIV/AIDS pandemic stricken areas to enlighten them. This cannot be possible except through our commitments and your contributions.

That is why Should a project be over-funded (i.e. income from volunteers exceeds the project budget) the surplus will go into the trust fund. These surplus funds will be used to fund other projects that have been under-funded or initialize new projects.

You can also volunteer by:
• Becoming a Friend of D'block, sending regular contributions and receiving our Newsletter.
• Giving a place to sleep to our volunteers when they are out fundraising.
• Providing a teaching practice opportunity for a week for a volunteer in training.
• Donating food, services, materials and other items to D'block.

As you can see there are plenty of possibilities. Contact us if you are interested, and together we will tailor make a volunteer position that fits the person you are. You can be a volunteer for any period of time. From a few hours every week, to moving in on a long term basis.

Become a Partner in Development of D'block

Even if you are not interested in enrolling in one of our programs, we would like to invite you to become a “Partner In Development” of D'block. This will involve giving a regular, tax-deductible, donation to D'block (anything from $10 to $100 a month) for International Partners and from N500 to N5000 for National Partners. If you choose to do this, it will mean a great deal for D'block.

It will mean that we will be able to offer more awareness, execute more projects thus enabling many more people to participate in the life changing experience that we offer and also help us give our youthful age a meaning!
